Product Description
With the addition of roughage and water, the human body can survive on honey bee pollen alone. This is because it is the only food which contains, in perfect balance, all 22 known essential nutritional elements (and others yet to be identified), which humans require to achieve and maintain optimum vitality. That's why it has rightfully been called the "Ultimate Survival Pack".

At least 2% of the contents of honey bee pollen has yet to be isolated and identified. For a complete listing of its known honey bee pollen nutrition ingredients, click here.

In the formula found only in the beehive, the nutritional ingredients of honey bee pollen can assist and enhance the full spectrum of physiological functions.

By providing the human body with all the nutritional elements it needs, and in just the right proportions, honey bee pollen allows the body's own healing and rejuvenation mechanisms to perform their normal functions of building, restoring, and maintaining and protecting every cell.

In its original state, pollen is a fine powder composed of thousands of microscopic particles which are discharged from the anther of a flower, and is the male element of the plant which fertilizes like plants.

There are two kinds of pollen: anemophile ("friend of the wind"), and entomophile ("friend of the insect"). The former, which causes allergic reactions like hayfever, is dispersed by the air. The latter, which is the subject of this information, is gathered by the honeybee, whose travels from flower to flower make possible the reproduction of more than 80% of the world's grains, fruits, vegetables and legumes.

The individual pollen grain in encased in two protective coatings. The exine, composed of sporopollen and cellulose, is known to be acid-resistant, and has withstood temperatures in excess of 300 degrees C. Beneath this is the thinner, intine layer, which preserves oil and starch.

The honeybee collects only the purest of pollens. It avoids all toxic plants, including those contaminated with pesticides.

The general RDA is about one tablespoon (measured).

1 pound of pollen contains approximately 31 tablespoons (measured). Each Tablespoon is equal to about .516 ounces or 14.7 grams.

Everyone on this earth is different so once you feel you are approaching perfect health and feel you have more energy and stamina than ever before, then you must personally regulate the amount of pollen you eat each meal for life.

You can stir it in with fruit juices, mix with applesauce, yogurt, or honey. Sprinkle on your salad or cereal. Add to protein drinks, milk, shakes and sodas. Use your imagination or just enjoy "as is". In other words there are many different ways to take the bee pollen.

We always recommend that anyone with any unhealthy condition or suspected sensitivity see their doctor before ingesting honeybee pollen. This is strictly a suggestive guideline and your physician should be consulted if you are in question.

Ask Question

How should I store my pollen?

It is recommended that you store your pollen in a dark cool place (preferably the fridge or freezer).  Pollen is a "food" and can spoil after a period of time at room temperature.  Freezing the pollen will keep it fresh and at full strength for up to 2 years.  You may keep the pollen in a freezer bag  or you may transfer it to some other type of container.

Pollen can loose its strength after an extended  period of time at room temperature.  Direct sunlight can also reduce the strength of pollen.  Of course short reasonable periods at room temperature will not have any effect, but weeks or months will.

How is pure pollen processed (cleaned)?

Actually it is not processed at all.  Pure natural unprocessed bee pollen is simply cleaned to remove obvious foreign particles such as bee wings and legs.   Occasionally you will find one of those in your pollen and you should not be alarmed.  That is to be expected in the pure bee pollen.

Is all pollen the same?

No. Pollen will vary from region to region because the blooms vary. In treating allergies pollen from your immediate area will be more beneficial than bee pollen from another region. In many cases it is not possible to get pollen from your immediate region, in which case bee pollen from other regions is still very beneficial. If you are taking bee pollen from another region for protein and the nutritional value it makes no difference.

Have you changed your prices? The discounts on your brochure are different than the website.

Over the last 12 years we have almost made no changes on the website pricing. Given the rising cost of manufacturing we had to consider raising prices or adjusting our discount levels. We chose the latter as we felt it would be best for all customers. We still offer quantity discounts, we just require a slightly higher volume to get that pricing. We offer the highest quality honeybee products on the market and we will continue to offer those at a great price for our valued customers. Durham's Bee Farm has also started offering free shipping for orders over $75 which many customers are benefiting from. We appreciate your business and thank you for understanding the slight change in our discount structure.
